Ian Cameron managing director of Cameron Optometry is experienced in providing expert witness services for a range of civil cases and complaints.

Ian has handled a number of expert witness and medico-legal cases in the past including a range of alleged missed pathology accusations (details available on request). Ian can act on behalf of solicitors for prosecution or defence and is available to take instruction from other parties where required.

The practice has a reputation as a leading centre for contact lenses and clinical optometry in Scotland and beyond. We regularly receive referrals from other optometrists (including internationally) to take over complex cases and are asked by patients to provide a second opinion where they are unsure of their diagnosis or treatment options having been seen elsewhere (including eye hospitals). In addition our long history of close collaboration with the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion in Edinburgh exposes us to a large range of conditions not normally encountered by community optometrists.

Copies of relevant experience and CVs are available on request.
