Contact Lenses
The NHS does subsidy does not include contact lens examinations which are required on an annual basis.
An initial contact lens appointment will range between £65 and £100 depending on the complexity of the lenses required. Annual charges thereafter are fixed at £65.
The cost of lenses varies considerably according to the complexity of prescriptions and of course the frequency of use. We stock more lens types from a wider range of suppliers than any other optometrist in Scotland. This ensures we supply our patients with the latest products, often ahead of our competitors.
We do not charge post or packaging for the issuing of lenses supplied to the practice. We also do not charge contact lens handling, offering unlimited access to handlers who can assist patients including parents/guardians of young people or carers of elderly patients.
Direct Debit Scheme
Patients who join our monthly direct debit scheme are not charged any of the fees above.
DD members also receive a 7% discount off all solutions. Payments can be arranged over a three, six or 12 month period as suits patients with further family discounts available for multiple purchases.
