Q. I’m a -4.75 single vision prescription and my new glasses still blur at the edges. Is this typical?
A. It’s very common for short-sighted patients to be highly critical of their vision. We have checked the measurements of your glasses and can see the lenses are providing equal magnification throughout. A possible cause is mixing lenses with glasses wear and we would recommend a constant use of your glasses to get comfortable with the new lenses. In any event, we will keep reviewing your vision until this is sorted.
Q. My nose pads are moving. I think they are about a year old. What does it cost to repair them?
A. If you have bought your glasses from us, we will change your nose pads and give the frames a full MOT as often as you like for the lifetime of the frames. Typically we recommend a check every year, more if you can make it, to ensure they fit properly to optimise your vision.
Q. I’d like sunglasses for a holiday but can my high prescription be made into sunglasses.
A. Any frame we stock can be made into sunglasses by simply ordering a tinted lens to your prescription. Most, but not all, sunglasses can be fitted with prescription lenses too so you have plenty of choice.
