Meet Jess, our front of house lead
Jess holds a BBA in hospitality management and is trained in first aid, including infants and children. She keeps the team running smoothly and makes sure every patient is welcomed with warmth and confidence. Her background in hospitality shines through in the way she supports both patients and the wider team every day.
Favourite glasses style or brand
Jess loves big but lightweight frames. Her all time favourite is her metal Feb31, closely followed by her bright red Lindbergs, which are super lightweight and comfortable for all day wear. She is always up for a cat eye frame too.
Top tip for visiting the optometrist
If you have any concerns, phone the practice first so we can direct you on the best next steps. This helps us schedule you at the right time and avoids longer waits for patients. For children, make sure to stop by the desk after your appointment to choose from our extensive sticker collection!
Best part of the job
Jess loves helping people feel at ease the moment they arrive. She and the team are always up for a chat and a laugh, and the whole front of house group is known for being friendly and easy going. She also loves Bake Off season and never minds being a guinea pig for new creations!
Jess says the practice feels like a family. She has had an incredibly challenging year after her husband was diagnosed with cancer, and the team has supported her throughout. She is happy to share how much this has meant to her and her family, and how much she values working in such a caring environment.
